I can’t believe this day is here! My baby boy turns 21 today, he’s a true grown adult now. I know us moms always say “it seems like yesterday ” but seriously it really does.
I remember being pregnant and doing my best to eat healthy, even giving up my beloved coffee and wine. I had cravings for pickles, salsa and hummus. I enjoyed buying maternity clothes and especially baby clothes.
I remember your birth day and how I couldn’t wait to meet you. How nothing helped ease the contractions, my birth plan went straight out the window! I begged the doctor to finally give me an epidural! ( I stated in my plan that I only want a natural birth with no pain meds) I was in heaven after that! Lol! And when you finally came into the world I cried with pure happiness. I never knew a love as powerful as that. Motherhood is the most beautiful thing in the world.
Since that day, I’ve watched and helped you grow into a curious boy, loving brother and now a grown adult. You love to explore and try new things and I love that about you.
I cherish all my memories and pray we create new ones together as we grow older. You will always be my special one because you were my first. First hug, first baby kiss, first tooth, first lost tooth, first step, first day of school, first graduation, first college….
I Love you forever, as long as I’m living, my baby you’ll be…
Our son Jaseon turned 11 last month. It had been a long time since we were able to see his handsome face and we were so excited to celebrate his special day with him! All the kids sang “Happy Birthday” & helped him eat up his birthday cookie!
We love you Jaseon!
Our baby girl turned six this month and wanted to spend it with her friends from school and dance class. It would be her first one with kids her own age. That’s the hardship of being the last one and your siblings are all boys and a lot older than you. So we went with a girly theme & combined her two favorite activities; being a princess & a ballerina!
Tiffany’s Dance Studio in Livermore hosted the party, having a great dance session for the girls as well as creating their own tiaras. Our hostess Miss Veronica did an amazing job with the girls and Olivia was one happy birthday girl.
I made tutus and crowns for the girls to wear & take home as favors. We also had a dessert table filled with homemade cake pops, candy pretzels, cupcakes and a beautiful ombré cake from Raley’s Bakery.
Thank you to all who attended and made her day extra special!
Now to prepare for next year… She asked if she can have a Cowgirl party!!!
Boys and their toys! Our 15 year son, Gerald, asked to have his birthday celebration at a paintball park this year. So, of course, his brothers were all for it. It was his first time as well as his younger brother & they were ecstatic! Dad made the arrangements and I packed the snack bag then they were off! Olivia & I went to watch for a couple of hours and cheer them on. It was so awesome to see them having such a great time & I enjoyed seeing them bonding even more.
This was our final hurrah since Gerald started school today & it will be a happy summer memory. Thank you to American Paintball for such a great day. They made sure that everyone who came to their facility were welcomed, comfortable and enjoyed themselves.
I believe we found a new family tradition!!
Yesterday we spent the day celebrating our son Gerald’s 15th birthday! His father & I had so much fun planning & prepping to make sure he had a memorable one. Especially since we just moved & he hasn’t had a chance to make new friends to celebrate with.
Dad went the day before to The Cheesecake Factory in Pleasanton to pick up Gerald’s dream cake, a Chocolate Oreo Cheesecake. I hid it in the back of the fridge in plastic bags so he couldn’t see it! Then we taped balloons & streamers to his door for a waterfall effect when he opened it in the morning. It worked & was so fun to watch them tumble on his sleepy face!
He opened his gift from us, a new HP Laptop. We wanted him to start off his sophomore year with the best tools to help him achieve. He’s been asking for one since last year. Besides, his honor roll grades from last year helped seal the deal.
We then ventured to our local Starbucks for birthday Frappuccinos and a latte for me.
It so happened that his registration for HS was today too, so our afternoon was spent at the school getting his classes. I told you it was fun! LOL!!
Birthday haircut at our local barbershop after lunch then homeward bound to eat some cake! The best part for us was seeing how happy he was & the hugs we received in thanks! We are very lucky parents to have such a sweet & grateful kid as our son.
I’m so proud of what he has accomplished & the goals he has for himself in the near future!
You’re a true gem Gerald, I’m so happy you came to live with us and I’m in awe as I watch you grow. Have a wonderful birthday year son (driver’s permit coming up in 6 months!).
We love you!
Another year has passed and my youngest son is turning 12 today! What a wonderful year it’s been. Last year I talked about his birth and what I went thru to bring him into the world, now I can talk about what he’s done for me. His love and personality have made me one proud mommy! Ethan has a smile that lights up any room! I’d move planets for his smile and for his adoring hugs. My son has overcome many challenges and keeps such a positive and loving attitude. His vivacious spirit and competitive soul keep him motivated to keep up with his older brothers.
I love that he enjoys reading and building skyscrapers with his Legos, plays a mean game of Kinect bowling and is always up for a trip to Krispy Kreme. I cherish that he still calls me “mommy” and loves to cuddle on the couch during a favorite TV show. I thank G-d everyday that he blessed me with him and that I still have 6 more years to “coddle” him till he leaves me for college. This year will be filled with hard work ( starting Jr. High and Bar Mitzvah next year) but I know that my Ethan will be able to accomplish it with determination and with a smile on his face!
I love you so dearly, my darling Ethan, and so happy to wish you a very merry Birthday!
